Dag
"Denniz PoP" Volle. The Demonproducer who sadly died in
cancer 1998. He was the man behind the Cheiron sound with artists
like E-type, Dr Alban, Leila K, Jessica Folcker, Papa Dee, Ace of
Base, Backstreet Boys, Robyn, 'N Sync, 3T, 5ive, Solid HarmoniE
and many more. He, Max Martin and the other boys at Cheiron
Studios in Stockholm, has written and/or produced many of the
most popular songs in the 90s. "Dagge" became a close
friend to Martin "E-type" Eriksson and Martin almost
ended his E-type career when "Dagge" died. Luckily he
changed his mind!

This was
the first E-typeshow I enjoyed live! I was driving a bright
yellow Audi Quattro with GREAT car stereo!!!!! The show was held
at Folkets Park and we got there in time. For some reason the
show was VERY delayed, but when you´re waiting for something
GREAT..................
It was an awesome show and I was hooked forever!!!!!! One of my
friends in the car got a beer from Martin during the show....he
was happy.. *he he*
After the show ended we drove around Mariestad centre all night
playing E-typesongs VERY LOUD!!!! *hehehe* There were a lot of
girls dancing on the sidewalk!!!
Some policecars followed us for some time but never said
anything!!!!! (strange!!) *he he he*
After a couple of hours we were going home and I just wanted
MORE!!!!
Once
again Audi Quattro, big stereo..................!!! This show was
hold at a place called "Stinsen". It´s a pub/nightclub
in the middle of Eskilstuna... We got there in time and got
places at the front (me and one of my friends)... The other two
friends was not getting through the guards and had to wait in the
car all evening!!!!! *he he he*
The show was great, but it was hot as in Sahara desert!!!! ..I
know that Nana Hedin found one of her eyelashes on her cheek
after the show!!!! *he he he*
2-3 songs from the end I had to go away because of the heat!! I
almost fainted!!!! ..After the show ended I had to rest about 30
min before I could drive the car home!!
The car stereo got broken and we had to sing ourselves!!! *he he
he he*
I got to
Kisa and started to locate the place where the show would take
place. It was in Kisa Folkets Park and I just followed all people
who walked, to get to the right place. When I was waiting in the
entranceline I met some VERY drunk locals who was very friendly
though...Sorry to say, but I got in a little bit late so I missed
a frontplace...I was in about 8th row or something.
Well, after some waiting inside, the show started and was of
course awesome.....In front of me some "crazy rockers"
were headbanging like hell.... *he he*
Nana, Zia and Annika was singing like angels from the big blue
sky....and of course Martin, Dee and the whole Bend Over Band was
giving us everything from the stage.. It´s just sad that every
E-typeshow I´m going to seems to be too short. The time is just
running away in very high speed. That must surely be because I
really love this shows....*smile* All fans who´s not able to see
E-type live miss the best of him...Be sure of that!!
Well, nothing strange happened during this show so I was just
driving home directly to get some sleep and wanted MORE MORE MORE
of E-type live.......*smile*
It was Friday and I drove against Nynäshamn without knowing where this show was held. You find Nynäshamn south of Stockholm, 250 km away from my home in Närke. When I passed Södertälje, the police had two troublemakers lying on the hood of their car. Well, after a wild I arrived in Nynäshamn and drove through the centre three or four times. Then I found a place where it looked to be right. It was called Annex:1 and it WAS the right place. I walked in to this club and sat in the pub for a wild, waiting for them to open the door to second floor where the stage was. When the door was open I got upstairs and got a great place right at the front. Time was rushing through and after a wild E-type and The Bend Over Band came to the club. To come to their room, they had to pass us all just in front of the fencing, and of course everybody around me took the chance to touch them. Well, the gig started and Jessica Folcker was stand-in for Nana Hedin. All the show was just awesome and I could not get enough! When driving home, I decided to go to the last gig on this tour on the next day! This is the way, you know!!
It was
Saturday and the day after my visit to Nynäshamn. I called a
hotel in Ljusdal and got a room to sleep in. After eating, I
started to drive against Ljusdal (450 km from home). Everything
went ok until I missed a junction, where I should have turned
right... I ended up about 30-40 km in the wrong way, and I was a
bit angry with myself.... Well, I found a big gravel road where I
could cut back some time and I was driving a BIT too fast through
these woods! Just lucky to not meet any cars in the other
direction! *he he* After a wild I was on the right way again and
later I turned up in Ljusdal, passing Folkets Park, where it
seemed to be party... I booked in at the hotel, took a shower and
got some sleep before I went to the place. When I was parking I
saw that it was a "big" evening with a lot of artists.
It was called "Höstfesten". When I walked to the
entrance i passed a TV-crew from Z-TV, who recorded some people
singing "This is the way"! Z-TV was in Ljusdal to
record the E-type show, and also a long interview with him in the
bus on their way to Ljusdal...
I got in to the place and was not getting a frontplace, because
there was a LOT of people already... Nothing to do about that
anyway... Well, I think the pushing from the crowd before the
show was one of the worst I had experienced so far and several
people got away because they didn´t like that at all! The
pushing was also starting a couple of real fights between some
guys, but their friends was cooling them down after a wild... It
was real cold in the evening and I got a cold after this night!
*hehe* Well, the show got started and was GREAT and I was just
sorry that this was the last gig on this tour.... On the Sunday I
drove home and found the right way all the time...*hehehe*
This was
the official tour-opening of the 1999 tour and it was held at
Liseberg in Göteborg. It was on a friday and I had to work
first. I came away from work a little late so I was in a hurry to
do the 250 km to Göteborg as fast as I could without
speeding....*s* Well, I came to Liseberg and found out that I was
too late to be in the real front row and had to stand in 4-5 line
or something! A little later the place was absolute packed with
people and the show could start. As it was the opening-gig, of
course a lot of media was there as well!! I must say there is a
lot of pretty girls on the E-type shows as well.....*s*
Well, the show started and it was amazing all through!!! The only
thing is that it was early in the evening and not dark, so the
fireworks didn´t work to the full potential...!!! During the
show Martin said that all the surplus money from this show was
going to a fund to help the victims in the horrible disco-fire
earlier in Göteborg, where 63 young people was killed and many
others hurt...!!!!! Well, after the show I could tell that I
forgot my earplugs at home because I had a bad hearing then.....
Now I just had to drive to my home again and wait for the next
show to come up!!!!
This
show was part of a big festival (in Strandparken) called
"Vätternfestivalen".
When I got to the entrance there was a LOT of people who wanted
to get in...
Well, luckily I had not got a ticket in advance because that
queue was more than double with waiting people.
During the evening there was a lot of bands playing but of course
E-type was the "big name". Before E-type, Markoolio got
the crowd "fired up".
During the evening it was raining a lot and I used an
umbrella...all the water from the umbrella hit the girls around
me..*he he*..but they were only laughing about it.
Sorry to say...I didn´t get to the front this time and when the
real pushing started I was pushed away about 10 m. One girl
wanted me to help her if she got in trouble with somebody she was
afraid of...hmmmmm..she thought I was a guard...yellow
jacket.....!!!
When E-type and Frying Demons entered the stage there was no rain
in sight anymore!! Could there be some strange connection between
me and E-type shows???? On my visit to 16 E-type shows
(1997-1999) there has not been raining once during his shows!!!
Maybe I´m the sun-man.....??? *he he he*
This was
a whole evening with a lot of artists. It was called Jägerdagen.
Everything was hold at the backyard of the nightclub Jäger in
the middle of Karlstad. I got through the entrance early and was
listening to all artists on the evening!!
There was artists like Oktan, Balsam Boys, Da Buzz, Drömhus and
of course the highlight E-type!!! On the first shows I was ALONE
at the front fence!!! The rest of the crowd was standing far
behind!! I think it was a bit rude against these artists!!!
Well, I was very glad to hear Da Buzz, which was a new experience
to me!!! Great band!!! But of course I was there to see E-type
and that was awesome as ever!!!!
After that I got home and was prepared to visit another show on
the next day, in Virserum!!
This
show was held in a "Folkets Park" called
"Kärringryggen". I got there about 21.00 and could
enter immediately. The show should start at 23.00.
When I was waiting in front of the stage a lot of people came and
asked questions about the show, such as what time it will start
and if they were gonna sell any photos/posters.....!!!
Even three guards came to me and asked about the bombs on
stage!!! They must have thought that I was one of the crew!!! *he
he he*
Well, I´ve been on so many E-typeshows so I got them the right
answers anyway!!!
The pushing was hard before the show and a older woman got to me
and wanted me to take some action against two troublemakers who
pushed the others rather bad!!!
Hmmmmm.....I told her that I was NOT a guard and she was
surprised!!!!
That´s not the first time my bright yellow jacket had delivered
that kind of comments to me....I will write a story about that
jacket some day!!!! *he he he*
Well, the show started and the pushing was getting worse, but
what´s that when you´re rocki´n to E-typesongs performed by
Martin and the GREAT Frying Demons!!!!!
In the middle of the show Martin was dedicated a song (Morning
Light) to Jennie Sandahl who got murdered earlier this year!
He said that she should have been his girlfriend.....nice
thought!!!!! She was a E-type fan.
After the show a woman got to Martin backstage and told him
"Thank you for dedicating a song to my
daughter"......It was her mother!!!! This must have been a
very special moment for everyone!!!
I was driving home and was already thinking about next show!!!!
I came
to Bollekollen Skicenter about 17.30. The entrance should open at
18.00.
When I got to the entrance, nobody was there so I walked in to the
area and thought that someone would throw me out later!!
I got to the stage where E-type should perform later. Tourmanager
Håkan Axlid and the rest of the crew was preparing everything as
usual.
The time got later and later and later but no one was asking me
about paying entrance!!! *he he*
I saved 190 sek!!!
Maybe they thought that I was a guard or something??? Yellow
jacket, you know!!!!
At last the E-type show started and it was awesome of course!
In the middle of the show Martin forgot the lyrics and had to get
help from the book!! *he he*
Later in the show they were celebrating Tomas Bergqvist who did
his last show on the tour and gave him a drink on stage!! *he he
he* (a "knockout-drink"!!!!!!!!) He almost fainted at
the end....
Well, after the show I had just 250 km to drive home. I had to
sing myself because I have no car stereo!! *he he he*
I was
very happy that Ljungby and Sunne was added to the tour so I got
the chance to visit two more shows this year... This show was
held at a backyard of the businesshouse "Garvaren" in
Ljungby.... I got to the place early and it was open so I got in
and looked around at the crews when they prepared everything and
listen to the foreband soundchecking.. When I got in, Max Abbey
was there, talking to the crew... Well, the time was running
later and I could see and hear the band and crew celebrating
Martin "E-type" Eriksson on the hotelbalcony at
"Garvaren". It was his birthday..
The entrance was open from 21.00 and I was still inside the
fence, but about 21.15 I was thrown out to pay, which was done
very quickly because there was not a queue at all... It was
raining a short moment but that disappeared before any artist was
on stage... After a wild, Gonz, the webmaster of the Official
Danish E-type-site turned up with his brother and sister... I got
to them and introduced myself... There was some problem with the
language between us so we had to use english...
Well, when the foreband started to play, all of us was at the
frontline and a bit to the left of us there was also another
known big E-type fan, Paula Sjöstedt from Vetlanda (she got the
chance to meet Martin earlier this year in Motala, thanx to the
music paper OKEJ). Martin said later in the show "I´m not
expecting to see any friends when I´m 420 km away from home, hi
Paula".
After the foreband was finished, more and more people was getting
in to place and the pushing started as usual on E-type gigs...
After a wild E-type and The Frying Demons entered the stage and
got the show to start... Gonz brother (Jover) had to get their
sister out of the pushy crowd because it was to hard for her...
Gonz experienced what I always does on these concerts, that every
girl behind is trying to get in front, no matter what they have
to do.. *he he* ... During the show, I even got a hand between my
legs....hmmmm...
Well, at the end of the 2nd song ("Back In The Loop"),
"Dee" suddenly disappeared from the stage and she
didn´t come back until "I Just Wanna Be With You" (4th
song)... It seems that she had broken a nail or something...at
least she was showing her fingers when she was back...
After that, they were to play "Hold Your Horses", but
the band started to play a birthday song to Martin instead... he
was overwhelmed and the crowd loved it.... Later, when they were
going to play "Here I Go Again", Martin got problem
with the lyrics (not the first time *he he*), he got to the
lyrics-book but couldn´t find it... Then tourmanager Håkan got
out on the stage, found it, and showed it to Martin, and he
started to read the lyrics from the book and the song was under
way.. The band always seems to have very fun when Martin forget
the lyrics... *he he he*
The show ended as usual this year, with Johan and Max throwing
their instruments (bass and guitar) to each other... Great stuff!
You´ll find a pic of that on www.etype.dk .
After the GREAT show ended, I walked to my car, and it took about
500m before I could walk properly after the hard pushing.. *he
he*
Then I just had to drive home and prepare for the show in Sunne
on the next day...
